 Improvement Science: What should our students be reading?

Unlike Educational Leadership, that has many cannons, go-to authors like Ladson-Billings, and other gurus contributing to the seminal literature for the field, improvement research faculty are slowly building (or not) those essential readings for our inquiry courses. Achieving consensus on principal readings across the consortium benefits our mission to transform advanced preparation programs, and ultimately, scholarly practice. Therefore, this session takes participants on an exploration from determining just what are the essential readings in an inquiry/research course to course assignments promoting the development of improvement methodology.

Robert Crow

Dr. Robert Crow is an Associate Professor of Educational Research at Western Carolina University, where he lives in Asheville, NC. He teaches primarily in the doctoral program in educational leadership. He has co-authored several books on the topic of improvement science in education.
