Maximizing Progress with Resources You Have: Innovations as a Program Director

Dr. Maida Finch, Salisbury University

This session will focus on how one Ed.D. program director balance’s program viability and capacity. After providing a description of our program’s context and curriculum focus, Dr. Finch will share three innovations she has developed to support the program’s sustainability using the university resources.

1. Forecasting program capacity to advocate for more faculty and creative ideas for
dissertation committee membership.
2. Building relationships with students from recruitment to program completion.
3. Revising curriculum and ensuring alignment for 7-week courses.

We’ll have time for questions and answers before asking participants to share strategies and innovations in their program.
